artificial intelligence, mathematics, and statistics to biological

Programme
description
Our goal is interdisciplinary knowledge of bioinformatics,
so the students will be "bilingual" in terms of
combined expertise on information technology and biosciences.
This is a two-year full-time study programme, and starts
every year in August-September. All teaching is in English,
and takes advantage of modern educational technology, such
as web courses and video lectures, in addition to traditional
face-to-face teaching. Read

Participating
institutes
The teaching in our programme shares the expertise
of two university departments: Department or Information
Technology, University of Turku, and Institute of Medical
Technology, University of Tampere. Both departments have
a long history of bioinformatics research and teaching before
starting this programme. Our bioinformatics web teaching
has been awarded a national prize from the Ministry of Education
